Jeremy Bamber Campaign

On Friday, 10 May the Jeremy Bamber Campaign, called on all affected organisations of Miscarriage of Justice to join with them outside the Criminal Cases Review Commission offices in Birmingham.

The event was well attended by a number of voluntary organisations supporting the Falsely Accused. These included: False Allegation Support Organisation (FASO); Falsely Accused Carers and Teachers (FACT); Trapped; Fighting for the Falsely Accused and Prisoners Progressing Maintaining Innocence (PPMI).  Campaigners involved in a number of well- known alleged miscarriages of justice were also in attendance – Freedom for Robin Garbutt whose conviction in the light of the Post Office Scandal seems unfathomable. 

If the campaigners for Jeremy Bamber revelations are remotely true, this case would constitute one of the worst miscarriages of justice in living memory.

There were a number of speakers who made passionate and reasoned speeches about the plight of the falsely accused. As FASO knows from bitter experience, contrary to popular perception, false accusations are prevalent and miscarriages of justice are an everyday occurrence: thousands of innocent people are languishing in prison for crimes they did not commit.

Falsely Accused Day seeks to raise awareness of our broken criminal justice system, false accusations and miscarriages of justice. FASO remains dedicated to supporting anyone affected by false allegations which continue to ruin lives and impact on people from all walks of life.
